This is Not A Food Blog

Hi! My name is Tabitha LaDuque. I currently live in St. Louis, Missouri but with my husband being in the military, we move around every few years. I married my high school sweetheart right after we graduated college and then we moved to Alaska two weeks later. Right before we moved away from Alaska, we found out I was pregnant and we had a beautiful daughter in December of 2022.
The About page is the one thing on this blog that has really thrown me for a loop.  It’s like being in front of a new group of people and someone says “tell us about yourself”. Yikes.
After thinking it over for way too long, I just decided to sit down and start writing this page. Which is how this blog even came to be. One day, I felt all these words bubbling up inside of me and I just opened a word document and started typing. It felt really good, so I continued writing. As my fingers danced along the keys, God was doing something in my heart.
My love for God and stories got me to really consider starting a blog, but I would forget or get distracted or (honestly) be too afraid.
2 Timothy 1:7 says that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgement.”
I knew God was calling me to start this blog, and for so long I was letting worldly fear get in the way. But that fear is not from God. So with His power, love, and sound judgement, here it is. A recounting of the ways I have seen God’s goodness in my life. Through my own personal experiences and through Scripture.
What you need to know about me is that I love the Lord and truly try to seek Him out daily. I have hard seasons and dry seasons, but God has never been less present in those times. I can not sit idle with the life that God has given me. I have to be speaking His Truth and telling His stories. So get ready for some stories.
Because of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, we all have the opportunity to live a life worthy of the Gospel (Philippians 1:27). May these stories reflect that life and cause you to look for the ways you can live that life too.
